Why God sends the sad news of death to human beings is like asking why the ocean is so blue and the spring wind still blows mildly?\u00a0 We all have this puzzle in our hearts and we all encounter the same anticipation in our own destiny.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since the first day we had our Sunday services in the basement of the Community Church at Scarsdale. Siulan and her husband Yaohun had been driving 2 hours each way from Danbury, Connecticut to attend the services faithfully.\u00a0 Yaohun\u2019s mother accompanied them and sometimes their youngest daughter came as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

Siulan opened their home for all the visitors from Taiwan \u2013 those who engaged anti-corruption of the ruling KMT and those who fought for Taiwan Independence.\u00a0 Their home was a refugees\u2019 heaven in the USA.\u00a0 Siulan made all meals for them and acted a tour-guide for them year round.<\/span><\/p>\n

I and my wife Shinobu always drove up north to visit them, such an exhausting journey distance-wise<\/span>\uff0c <\/span><\/span><\/span>but the couple never gave up.\u00a0 Their smiling face supported and sustained us week after week on every Sunday.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Life has so much suffering, oh God<\/span>\uff01\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span>But as we think of Siulan\u2019s smiling face of faith and service for God we find the heaven of peace.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
